Zilla Sanik Welfare Officers Recruitment Scheme 2026

The Government of Zilla Sanik has announced a fresh recruitment drive for the post of Welfare Officer. The scheme aims to strengthen the districtlevel welfare machinery and ensure timely delivery of government welfare programmes to the marginalized sections of society.

Application Procedure

  1. Visit the official recruitment portal www.zillsanjobs.gov.
  2. Register using a valid email address and mobile number.
  3. Fill in personal, educational and workexperience details.
  4. Upload scanned copies of:
    • Passportsize photograph (jpg, 4.5cm3.5cm)
    • Signature (jpg)
    • Mark sheets and degree certificate (pdf, max 2MB each)
  5. Pay the application fee (550 for General, 275 for SC/ST/OBC). Payment can be made via netbanking, credit/debit card or UPI.
  6. Submit the application and download the confirmation receipt.

Exam Pattern

The written test is a singlepaper objective type examination lasting 120 minutes.

Syllabus Overview

1. General Studies I History, Geography, Polity (30Marks)

  • Ancient, Medieval & Modern Indian History major movements, freedom struggle.
  • World History industrial revolution, world wars, decolonisation.
  • Physical Geography climatology, agroecology of Zilla Sanik.
  • Indian Constitution fundamental rights, duties, governance structure.
  • State legislation relevant to welfare schemes.

2. General Studies II Economics, Environment, Science & Technology (30Marks)

  • Indian Economic Survey GDP, fiscal policy, poverty indices.
  • Welfare economics social security, poverty alleviation programmes.
  • Environmental issues climate change, biodiversity, water resources.
  • Science & Tech digital governance, eservices, data security.

3. General Studies III Current Affairs, Ethics, Security (20Marks)

  • National and international current affairs (last 12 months).
  • Ethical foundations of public service integrity, transparency, accountability.
  • Internal security disaster management, public health emergencies.

4. Language & Comprehension (20Marks)

  • Reading comprehension passages from newspapers, reports.
  • Grammar, synonyms, antonyms, idioms (English).
  • Basic proficiency in the regional language (Zilla Sanik dialect) transliteration, sentence formation.

5. Quantitative Aptitude (20Marks)

  • Arithmetic percentages, profit & loss, time & work, ratio & proportion.
  • Algebra linear equations, quadratic equations.
  • Data interpretation tables, charts, graphs.
  • Logical reasoning series, puzzles.

All questions are multiplechoice with four options each. There is no negative marking.

Interview Phase

Candidates who secure a minimum of 45% in the written test will be invited for a personal interview. The interview evaluates:

  • Understanding of welfare schemes and implementation challenges.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical ability to propose solutions for grassroots problems.
  • Integrity, commitment to public service, and motivation.

The interview carries 30 marks, added to the written test score for a total of 150 marks.

Selection & Posting

The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of total marks (written + interview). Candidates will be allocated to districts according to rank, vacancy distribution, and category reservation.

Successful candidates will undergo a threeday induction programme covering:

  • Legal framework of welfare programmes.
  • Fieldlevel data collection and MIS reporting.
  • Use of egovernance tools (eSeva portals, mobile applications).
  • Ethics & grievance redressal mechanisms.
