History & Mission

Established as part of the Faculty of Education and Liberal Studies, SoTaVE has grown from a specialized department to a comprehensive school offering diverse programs in technical and vocational education. The school traces its roots to Technical Teacher Training initiatives that addressed the critical need for qualified technical educators in Jamaica's development.

Academic Programs

SoTaVE offers a comprehensive range of programs designed to prepare educators and professionals for leadership roles in technical and vocational education. Bachelor of Education in Technical Education

Our flagship undergraduate program prepares students to become qualified technical educators in secondary and post-secondary institutions. Master of Education in Technical and Vocational Education
