The IEEE International Conference on Recent Advances and Innovations in Engineering (ICRAIE2014) brought together researchers, engineers, academicians, and industry professionals to share the latest progress in engineering science and technology. Organized under the auspices of IEEE Malaysia Section, the fourday event featured a blend of technical sessions, workshops, keynote speeches, and poster presentations that highlighted the interdisciplinary nature of modern engineering challenges.
The central theme for 2014 was Integrating Emerging Technologies for Sustainable Development. The conference aimed to:
Four distinguished speakers were invited to share their insights:
More than 250 papers were accepted after a rigorous peerreview process. The technical program was divided into eight main tracks:
Each track featured oral presentations, panel discussions, and a dedicated poster session that encouraged informal interaction among participants.
Four handson workshops preceded the main conference:
Best Paper Award Hybrid PhotovoltaicWind Power System with Adaptive Load Management, presented by Dr. Aisha Karim (University of Malaya).
Best Student Paper LowCost Biosensor for RealTime Glucose Monitoring, by Mr. Ravi Patel (National University of Singapore).
A special industry exhibition showcased prototypes from startups and established firms, ranging from autonomous drones to ecofriendly building materials.
The conference succeeded in establishing several collaborative initiatives:
