Eligibility Requirements
- Participants must be 18 years or older at the time of application
- Businesses must be in the concept, seed, or early growth stage
- Company must be incorporated in the participating country
- Annual revenue (if any) must not exceed $500,000
- Business must not have received institutional venture capital funding
- Participants must be the primary founder or co-founder of the business
- Student applicants must be enrolled in an accredited university or college
- Only one business plan per participant or team is allowed
- Teams can consist of up to 5 members
- Previous competition winners (from any category) are not eligible

Degree of innovation, uniqueness of the business concept, creativity in approach, and competitive advantage.
Market Potential (15%)
Size of the target market, growth potential, market trends, and competitive landscape analysis.
Business Model & Viability (20%)
Clarity of revenue model, operational feasibility, product/service delivery, and scalability.
Financial Projections (15%)
Realistic financial projections, funding requirements, financial sustainability, and return on investment.
Implementation Strategy (10%)
Feasibility of implementation plan, timeline, milestones, go-to-market strategy, and operational planning.
Team Capability (10%)
Experience, expertise, and commitment of the team members; appropriate roles and responsibilities.
Presentation Quality (5%)
Clarity, organization, and professionalism of the written business plan and oral presentation.
Impact Potential (5%)
Positive impact on society, environment, or specific communities, particularly for social enterprise category.
How to Apply
To participate in the Business Plan National Competition 2022, follow these steps:
- Create an account on our competition portal
- Complete the online application form with basic information
- Upload your executive summary (maximum 3 pages)
- Submit the $50 application fee (students receive a 50% discount)
- Wait for notification of advancement to the semi-finals
Semi-finalists will be required to submit a comprehensive business plan (maximum 25 pages) and present virtually to our panel of judges. Finalists will present in-person at the national finals event.
