Building a better community and a better world through friendship, integrity, and service. The Villa Park Rotary Club has been a cornerstone of our community since 1952, bringing together business professionals, community leaders, and dedicated volunteers committed to making a positive impact. As part of Rotary International, we join 1.2 million members worldwide in the ideal of "Service Above Self." Our club represents a diverse cross-section of the Villa Park community, with members from various professions, ages, and backgrounds coming together with a shared commitment to service. We believe that lasting change happens when people work together, and our club provides both the structure and the inspiration for making that change happen. Over the decades, our club has contributed thousands of volunteer hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars to local, national, and international projects. From supporting local schools and food banks to funding clean water initiatives abroad, we're committed to taking action that creates lasting change. Our club focuses on six areas of focus identified by Rotary International that are critical to building a better world. We support local health initiatives and participate in Rotary's global effort to eradicate polio. Our members volunteer at health fairs and support medical relief in underserved areas. We fund clean water projects both locally and internationally, helping communities access safe drinking water and proper sanitation facilities. We support our local schools through reading programs, scholarship funds, and donations of books and educational materials to promote literacy. We help strengthen local economies through micro-loans, vocational training, and support for small businesses and community projects. We work to improve access to essential medical services and educate families on health and nutrition to ensure healthy starts for mothers and children. Our club sponsors peace fellows and supports initiatives that build understanding between cultures and promote peaceful resolutions to conflicts.
