Terms and Conditions for Online Shopping

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise interacting with the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accept these Terms, the DSTV Privacy Policy, and any additional policies referenced herein.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age or have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts.
• You must provide accurate, complete, and current registration information.
• Persons residing in jurisdictions where DSTV does not ship products are not permitted to place orders.

3. Account Registration

To purchase products, you must register for an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username, password, and any other login details. Any activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility.

4. Product Information

• All product descriptions, images, specifications and prices are provided in good faith, but DSTV does not warrant that they are errorfree.
• Prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise indicated. Prices may change without notice, but changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.
• Availability is subject to stock levels. If an item becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will notify you and may offer a replacement, a refund, or a cancellation.

5. Order Process

When you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation via email. This confirmation indicates that we have received your request but does not constitute acceptance of your offer. Acceptance occurs when we dispatch the goods and send you a shipping confirmation.

6. Payment

• We accept major credit cards, debit cards, EFT, and selected online payment gateways.
• All payments are processed securely through thirdparty payment processors. DSTV does not store your card details.
• In the event of payment failure, the order will be cancelled and you will be notified.

7. Shipping & Delivery

• We ship to addresses within South Africa and selected neighboring countries as indicated at checkout.
• Delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to courier performance, customs clearance, or other factors beyond our control.
• Risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to you upon delivery to the designated address.

8. Returns, Exchanges & Refunds

We accept returns of eligible items within 14 calendar days of receipt, provided the items are unused, in their original packaging, and accompanied by the original receipt or proof of purchase.

• Defective or Wrong Items: Contact our support team within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or refund at no extra cost.
• Change of Mind: Returns are accepted only if the product is in its original condition. Shipping costs for the return are the responsibility of the customer unless the product was faulty.
• Refund Process: Refunds are issued via the original payment method within 10 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item.

9. Warranty

All electronic products sold by DSTV are covered by the manufacturers standard warranty, which is described in the product documentation. DSTV is not liable for any warranty claims beyond those offered by the manufacturer.

10. Limitation of Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, DSTV shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or relating to the use of the Service.
• Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product that gave rise to the claim.

11. Intellectual Property

All content, logos, trademarks, and other intellectual property displayed on the DSTV website are owned by or licensed to DSTV. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

12. Privacy & Data Protection

Your personal data is processed in accordance with the DSTV Privacy Policy, which complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). By using the Service, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your data as described therein.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

14. Modifications to the Terms

DSTV may revise these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated Last Updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitute your acceptance of the new Terms.
