Overview
The Symposium for Research, Scholarship and Creativity (SRSC) is an annual gathering that brings together scholars, artists, scientists, and innovators from across the globe. It is designed to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, showcase cuttingedge research, and ignite collaborative projects that transcend traditional academic boundaries.
Since its inception in 2010, SRSC has grown into a vibrant platform where curiosity meets rigor, and where creativity is treated as a research method as valuable as quantitative analysis. The symposium encourages participants to present work in a variety of formats, ranging from peerreviewed papers and poster sessions to multimedia installations and live performances.
Key Themes
Each year the symposium focuses on a set of broad themes that reflect the evolving priorities of the global research community. The 2026 edition centers on three interrelated pillars:
- Digital Humanism: Exploring how digital technologies reshape culture, identity, and societal structures.
- Sustainable Innovation: Investigating pathways for environmentally responsible scientific and artistic practices.
- Embodied Knowledge: Examining the role of the body, senses, and affect in the production and dissemination of knowledge.
All contributions, regardless of discipline, should demonstrate a clear link to at least one of these pillars. Interdisciplinary projects that bridge multiple themes are especially welcomed.

Participation can take many forms: presenting a paper, displaying a poster, performing a piece, or simply attending sessions to engage in discussion.
Submission Guidelines
All submissions must be made through the online portal no later than 30 June 2026. The following categories are available:
- Full Papers (4,5006,000 words) peerreviewed, suitable for publication in the symposium proceedings.
- Extended Abstracts (1,5002,000 words) for poster or short oral presentations.
- Creative Works multimedia, performance scripts, installations, or digital artifacts. Provide a concise description (max 1,200 words) and technical specifications.
- Workshops & Panels proposals for interactive sessions (max 2,000 words), including learning outcomes and required resources.
All submissions must:
- Clearly articulate the relevance to at least one of the three key themes.
- Include a short biography (max 200 words) of each author/creator.
- Follow the SRSC style guide (APA 7th edition for citations).
