Eligibility Criteria

Tier II: Computer-Based Examination

Tier II is a main examination consisting of four papers:

1. Paper I: Quantitative Abilities - 100 questions (200 marks)

3. Paper III: Statistics - 100 questions (200 marks)
4. Paper IV: General Studies (Finance and Economics) - 100 questions (200 marks)

Duration: Paper I and II - 2 hours each; Paper III and IV - 2 hours each

Tier III: Descriptive Paper

This is a pen-and-paper mode examination that tests candidates' writing skills in English/Hindi.

Tier IV: Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test

This tier is applicable for specific posts and includes:

Syllabus

General Intelligence and Reasoning

This section includes topics like analogies, classification, series, coding-decoding, blood relations, direction sense, venn diagrams, puzzles, and critical reasoning.

General Awareness

Candidates are tested on their awareness of the environment around them and its application to society. Topics include history, culture, geography, economic scene, general policy, scientific research, and current affairs.

Quantitative Aptitude

This section covers arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and mensuration. Topics include number systems, percentages, profit and loss, time and work, ratio and proportion, and data interpretation.

English Comprehension

This section tests candidates' understanding of English language and comprehension. Topics include grammar, vocabulary, sentence improvement, reading comprehension, and verbal ability.

Application Process

The application for SSC CGL is conducted online. Candidates need to:

1. Register on the official SSC website
2. Fill the application form with correct details
