Pusat Fashion Kontemporer (PFK) Yogyakarta is a vibrant collective that showcases the best of contemporary Indonesian fashion. History and Vision
Founded in 2016 by a group of young designers and cultural entrepreneurs, PFK was born out of a desire to give Yogyakartas budding fashion talent a dedicated venue beyond the typical boutique model. The founders believed that fashion could be a form of social commentary, a way to preserve regional crafts, and a catalyst for sustainable practices. Since its inception, the centre has grown from a modest 300squaremeter loft to a sprawling complex that includes a museumstyle exhibition hall, a shared makers lab, and a caf that doubles as a networking hub.
