The 20212022 academic session offers a wide range of pharmacy programmes for students who wish to build a career in the healthcare sector. The following prospectus outlines eligibility criteria, admission procedures, important dates and key highlights of each course.

1. Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)

Course Overview

B.Pharm is a fouryear undergraduate degree that provides a solid foundation in pharmaceutical sciences, drug development, pharmacology, pharmaceutics and pharmacy practice. Graduates can pursue careers in industry, hospitals, research, or continue with higher studies.

Eligibility

  • 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Must have studied Physics, Chemistry and at least one of Biology/Mathematics.
  • Age limit: not more than 25 years as of 31Dec2021 (relaxable for reserved categories).

Admission Process

  1. Fill the online application form on the university portal.
  2. Upload scanned copies of mark sheets, ID proof and passportsize photo.
  3. Pay the application fee (Rs. 1,500 for general category).
  4. Appear for the statelevel entrance test (PharmaAptitude Test).
  5. Rank list is prepared based on entrance score and 12thclass marks.
  6. Selected candidates receive a provisional seat allotment letter.
  7. Complete document verification and pay the firstinstallment of fees.

2. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D)

Course Overview

Pharm.D is a sixyear professional programme (including one year of internship) that emphasizes clinical pharmacy, patient care, and pharmaceutical management. It is designed for students aiming to become clinical pharmacists.

Eligibility

  • 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics, minimum 55% aggregate.
  • Must appear for the national Pharm.D entrance exam (NPEE).
  • Age limit: 24 years (relaxable per government norms).

Key Features

  • Oneyear compulsory internship in hospitals or community pharmacies.
  • Clinical rotations in cardiology, oncology, pediatrics, etc.
  • Exposure to drug information services and patient counselling.

3. Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm)

Course Overview

D.Pharm is a twoyear diploma providing basic knowledge of drug dispensing, pharmaceutical calculations, and pharmacy law. It is an entry point for many aspiring pharmacists and can be followed by lateral entry into B.Pharm.

Eligibility

  • 10+2 or 10th with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • Physics, Chemistry and either Biology or Mathematics required.
  • No age restriction.

Admission Procedure

  1. Submit the offline application form to the designated college.
  2. Pay the nonrefundable fee of Rs. 2,000.
  3. Admission is based on merit of 12thclass marks (or 10th marks for eligible candidates).

4. Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm)

5. Pharm.D (PostBasic) Pharm.D (PB)

  • B.Pharm with minimum 55% marks.
  • Qualify the NIPER/State PostBasic Pharm.D entrance test.
  • Maximum age 30 years (relaxable as per reservation).
