Pharmaceutical Sciences Examination Date Sheet

Examination Guidelines

General Instructions

  • Students must report to the examination venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
  • All students are required to bring their valid university ID card and examination admit card.
  • Students must occupy their assigned seats as per the seating arrangement displayed at the examination venue.
  • No student will be permitted to enter the examination hall 30 minutes after the commencement of the examination.
  • Electronic devices including mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators (unless specified), and any other gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
  • All unauthorized material found with a student during examination will be considered as malpractice and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken.
  • Students must bring their own stationery (pens, pencils, erasers, etc.) in transparent pencil cases/pouches.
  • Written material, cuttings, or any content on hands, arms, or clothing is strictly prohibited.
  • Students are not permitted to leave the examination hall before 60% of the examination time has elapsed.
  • Students causing disturbance or engaging in inappropriate behavior during the examination will be disqualified.

Special Arrangements

  • Students with documented disabilities or special needs must submit their accommodation requests to the Examination Office by June 5, 2024.
  • Students observing religious holidays during the examination period must notify the Examination Office by June 5, 2024, to make arrangement for alternative dates.
  • Students with legitimate medical emergencies may defer examinations with proper documentation submitted to the Examination Office within 48 hours of the scheduled examination.

Practical Examinations

  • Practical examinations will be conducted as per schedule from July 5 to July 15, 2024.
  • Detailed practical examination schedule for each laboratory course will be communicated separately.
  • Students must wear appropriate laboratory attire including lab coats and safety equipment as prescribed.
  • Students must complete all practical assignments and requirements before the practical examinations.

Grading Policy

The following grading system will be applied for all Pharmaceutical Sciences courses:

  • A (90-100%): Excellent performance
  • A- (85-89%): Very good performance
  • B+ (80-84%): Good performance
  • B (75-79%): Satisfactory performance
  • B- (70-74%): Fair performance
  • C+ (65-69%): Acceptable performance
  • C (60-64%): Minimum passing performance
  • F (Below 60%): Failing grade

Final grades will be based on a combination of continuous assessment (assignments, quizzes, presentations, and mid-term examinations) constituting 40% of the total score, and the final examination constituting 60% of the total score.

Examination Support and Resources

The university provides various resources to support students during the examination period:

  • Study Sessions: Faculty members will be available for consultation and review sessions from June 1 to June 14, 2024, during their office hours.
  • Library Services: Extended library hours will be available throughout the examination period. Group study rooms can be reserved on a first-come-first-served basis.
  • Online Resources: Digital course materials and reference materials will remain accessible through the university learning management system.
  • Wellness Support: Counseling services will provide extended hours during the examination period to help students manage stress.
