Program Structure

KLCP is organized into three core modules, each reinforcing the others:

1. Language Intensive

Classes meet five days a week, escalating from beginner (Level 1) to advanced (Level 6). Each session focuses on realworld communication, using textbooks, multimedia resources, and interactive drills. Smallgroup activities encourage speaking confidence, while weekly quizzes track progress.

2. Cultural Immersion

Every week includes at least one cultural component, such as:

• Traditional music ( gugak ) and dance workshops.
• Korean cooking classesmaking kimchi, bibimbap, and tteokbokki.
• Visits to historic sites like Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgungs Secret Garden, and local museums.
• Contemporary sessions: Kpop choreography, Korean cinema screenings, and webdrama analysis.

3. Community Projects

Students collaborate on projects that apply language skills to reallife contexts: creating a bilingual guidebook for a local neighborhood, producing a short documentary about Korean diaspora, or volunteering as EnglishKorean translators for community events.

Admission Requirements

KLCP welcomes learners of all backgrounds. The only prerequisites are:

• Minimum age of 16 (younger students may apply with parental consent).
• Basic English proficiency for instruction support.
• Passion for Korean language and culture.

Applicants submit an online application, a brief personal statement (150300 words), and, for advanced levels, a recent language proficiency test score (TOPIK or equivalent).

Accreditation & Credits

Successful completion of a semesterlong KLCP yields 12 academic credits transferable to most universities worldwide. For shortterm programs, participants receive a certificate of achievement and a detailed progress report suitable for inclusion in rsums or graduate school applications.

Living Arrangements

Students may choose from three housing options:

• University Dormitory: Fully furnished rooms, shared kitchens, and onsite study lounges.
• Homestay: Live with a Korean family, practice daily conversation, and experience authentic homecooking.
• OffCampus Apartments: Private studios or shared apartments for independent living.

All housing options include basic utilities, highspeed internet, and laundry facilities.

Cost & Scholarships

Tuition varies by program length:

• Full semester (24 weeks): $8,200
• Summer intensive (8 weeks): $2,900
• Shortterm workshops (24 weeks): $900$1,600

Scholarships cover up to 50% of tuition for outstanding applicants from underrepresented regions, as well as meritbased awards for high TOPIK scores. Financial aid applications are processed concurrently with program admission.
