Program Overview
The Bachelor of Science in Food & Nutrition offered by Kakatiya University is a threeyear, sixsemester undergraduate programme designed to create competent professionals in both normal and therapeutic nutrition. The course blends scientific principles of food chemistry, biochemistry and microbiology with practical skills in diet planning, community nutrition, and clinical nutrition therapy.
By the end of the programme, graduates will be able to analyse dietary needs, develop balanced meal plans, and provide evidencebased nutritional advice for healthy individuals as well as for patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and gastrointestinal disorders.
Eligibility: 10+2 with at least 45% in Science (Biology mandatory)

Curriculum Structure
The curriculum is divided into two specialisation streams from the third semester onward: Normal Nutrition and Therapeutic Nutrition. Core subjects are common to all students, while elective modules allow deeper focus on the chosen track.

Admission Process
Eligibility Criteria
- Pass in 10+2 (or equivalent) with Science group.
- Minimum 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST candidates).
- Biology as a compulsory subject.
Steps to Apply
