All modules are delivered via the OUs proprietary learning management system (LMS). Students receive weekly assignments, interactive quizzes and access to a digital library of German media (audio clips, podcasts, ebooks).

Two facetoface intensive sessions (one per semester) are held at the OU campus in Moka. These workshops focus on spoken interaction, pronunciation drills and realtime feedback from nativespeaker instructors.

Admission Requirements & Application Process

Eligibility

  • Minimum age: 16 years
  • Completion of secondary education (or equivalent)
  • Basic proficiency in English (as all instructional material is in English)
  • No prior knowledge of German required the course is a true foundation

Application Steps

  1. Online Registration: Fill out the short form on the OU Mauritius website.
  2. Document Upload: Submit a scanned copy of your national ID or passport, latest academic transcript and a recent photograph.
  3. Placement Test (optional): A 30minute online test is available for applicants who wish to verify their starting level.
