Knowledge-Driven DSS

Knowledge-driven DSSs store the knowledge and rules of human experts in a specific field and apply this logic to the user's data to provide advice. For example, a medical DSS might help doctors diagnose diseases based on patient symptoms and history.

Communication-Driven DSS

The primary function of these systems is to facilitate collaboration and communication between decision-makers. They often use integrated tools like video conferencing, chat, and shared whiteboards.
