Alumnae Association of Barnard College

Connecting generations of bold, brilliant Barnard women

Welcome, Barnard Alumnae

The Alumnae Association of Barnard College serves as the lifelong connection between the College and its graduates. Since 1894, we have been fostering community, professional growth, and intellectual engagement among our global network of over 40,000 alumnae.

About the Alumnae Association

Founded shortly after Barnard College opened its doors in 1889, the Alumnae Association has grown alongside the institution, mirroring its commitment to academic excellence and women's advancement. Our diverse community spans generations, professions, and countries, united by the transformative Barnard experience.

The Association operates independently of the College but works collaboratively with the administration to support institutional priorities while advocating specifically for alumnae interests. Governed by a Board of Directors consisting of volunteers from various class decades, the Association remains focused on strengthening alumnae ties to one another and to the College.
